C. Russell Woody is an effective commercial litigator with over 20 years of experience representing clients in both state and federal courts. Russ litigates a wide variety of civil matters ranging from labor & employment matters to contract disputes to tort and industry claims. He also advocates for clients to find alternative paths to dispute resolution outside of litigation, and is certified as a mediator.

Attorney Woody is passionate about community leadership and developing the legal profession. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma County Bar Association, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, and previously served on the board for the Young Lawyers Division. He is also a Fellow for the Oklahoma County Bar Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City (Class 31) and the Oklahoma Bar Association Leadership Academy, and was recognized for Leadership in Law by the Journal Record  in 2015. Since 2017, he has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation in Oklahoma City. 

Russ earned his J.D from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and he completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Lee University. He began his legal career in Dallas, working at SettlePou for the first four years after law school. Prior to joining Conner & Winters, Russ worked over 15 years at a midsize commercial litigation firm in Oklahoma City.
