Profile

Alex Shell is an associate in the Fayetteville office of Conner & Winters, where he practices in the litigation, corporate & securities, and banking & finance practice groups. As a former deputy prosecutor and civil litigator, Alex has a unique blend of experience in all stages of litigation, both criminal and civil. This includes drafting motions and responses, managing the discovery process, negotiating with opposing counsel, litigating at trial, and conducting appeals. He also represents clients in matters related to environmental law and wills & trusts.

Alex earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he worked on the editorial staff of the Journal of Food Law and Policy and was active with the Environmental Law Society and Arkansas Trial Lawyer Association. He also earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Arkansas. 

Prior to joining Conner & Winters, Alex worked in-house at Walmart managing their litigated workers compensation claims. After law school, he worked for an international law firm in the Pacific working on large civil litigation cases and then as a deputy prosecutor. He is an avid runner and cyclist and is active with several foundations related to mental health services and awareness. He successfully launched a small wine importing company in 2022, and enjoys spending time outside of work with his girlfriend and his border collie named Ducky.
